Contentment | Perth Newborn Photographer

On Friday I had a brilliant time photographing 4 week old Jake, and his parents Rebekah and Glenn.  It was a really wonderful to finally meet Jake after photographing this little bump back in October.

Sleep was definitely something that Jake didn’t think very highly of during his session, but he was more than happy to quietly observe everything going around him, including our constant fits of laughter as we cleaned up his many many tinkles!

I don’t think I’ve ever had a session with such an alert, relaxed little babe who was this content to stay awake.  We did manage to get him to sleep for a little while, so we took advantage of it and got the best of both worlds… sleepy cuddliness in some shots, and amazing eye contact in others.  Perfect!

I’ve loved editing these shots, with such beautiful tones in this family’s skin, and not forgetting Glenn’s brilliant tattoos!  I’ve had a play with the last image using some textures for a more picturesque ‘old world’ feel.
