Abby and Sage | Perth Baby Photographer

This weekend’s beautiful faces came in twos… first two handsome little men on Saturday, then two beautiful little girls on Sunday! I first met with 5 week old Abby and her sister 3 year old Sage a couple of weeks ago for their session with me but on that day Abby didn’t want to miss out on the action so refused to sleep for us. So yesterday we re-shot the session with some success! We still weren’t able to get Abby to sleep until the very end when she was back into her clothes. There’s just no telling a newborn what to do, lol! Sage, on the other hand, was her happy, bright little self, always willing to share a smile! Such a wonderful family.

The night before I left on my holiday down South a couple of weeks ago I did a super-quick blog post of a session I had done with my beautiful friend Heather, and her newborn baby Angus. In the rush I wasn’t able to blog any images of Angus’ big brother Hamish but now that I’m back and editing her session I can’t resist sharing with you how gorgeous this little boy (and my future son-in-law!) is!! He’s such a cheeky little man who’s character reminds me so much of my little girl’s. And I also couldn’t resist blogging one more pic of baby Angus… sooo beautiful!

A gorgeous summer evening | Perth Family Photographer

Last week I met with Tash and Graham at Hyde Park in North Perth to take some family shots of them with their beautiful daughter Alexis. It was an absolutely beautiful evening, not to warm, not too cool, and beautiful sunset light all around. Alexis is such a gorgeous little creature! Unfortunately for me she wasn’t too keen on having her photo taken but I persevered and managed to get some wonderful shots of her before she had had enough of looking at my camera!

Tash and Graham, thanks for meeting up with me last week. It was wonderful to finally meet you Tash, and of course your gorgeous family. Enjoy this small peek at your session pics!

A beautiful family | Perth Family Photographer

I can’t even begin to explain how much I loved my latest session on Saturday evening with this gorgeous family of 6! It was an absolutely stunning evening, perfect weather, amazing light, and the most beautiful children to top it off… 7 year old Finn, 4 year old Noah, 18 month old Alyssa, and 5 month old Sibella, and not forgetting their wonderful parents Kate and Alex!

We spent the evening at the beautiful Hyde Park, just north of Perth, which encased us in towering fig trees and lush ground cover. I could’ve walked around with this family all night and I would’ve been happy! It was amazing to see so many different personalities coming from one family unit. At one end of the spectrum was Finn, happy to play the cheeky monkey in front of my camera but always happy to follow my lead, and at the other end was quiet and reserved Alyssa, seemily shy of my camera but determined to show her independence. These kids have just amazing little spirits, so full of energy and life! It was wonderful to witness this, and to witness the affection Kate and Alex have for their family.

Time really did fly by with this session and before we knew it it was time to wrap up. As we were getting ready to leave Kate mentioned to me her love of everything vintage, which was already made clear through the gorgeous outfits Alyssa and Sibella were dressed in!

So Kate, I’ve added to your sneak peek a vintage twist to some of your shots. I hope you like them! I think the vintage style suits them perfectly!! Thanks so much having me photography your family. I hope you like this little preview. I say ‘little’ though i found it hard to narrow it down to just a few because I love these so much, so this preview is a little bigger than usual! It was so wonderful to finally meet this family after having to postpone a previous session. We met at Iluka beach, north of Perth, for a late afternoon session. 2 year old Riley started out so shy that he would’nt take his sunglasses off for me, but it didn’t take long for me to get him out of his shell and by the end of the session he was telling me what to do! Such a spunky little man, with such loving parents.

An adventure! | Perth Family Photographer

On Saturday I had a shoot with a really amazing family, and what an adventure it was! I met Leah (the amazingly talented makeup artist behind Make-up By Leah) and her husband, Dan, together with their gorgeous children , 11 year old Talia, 3 year old William, and 19 month old Helena, at the beautiful Kings Park here in the centre of Perth. It was a stunning afternoon spent chasing this family around the park grounds, William in particular! There was just too much to see and do so why on earth would anyone want to pay attention to me and my camera?! Needless to say, I slept well that night!

Leah and Dan, thanks for giving me the opportunity to photograph your amazing family. Your children are so very special and I know you must be so proud of your family. I hope you like your sneak peek! I’ll be in touch soon.

Fun in the sun! | Perth Child and Family Photographer

It was such a beautiful day in Perth yesterday and what better thing to do than photograph a gorgeous family whilst soaking up the sun! We started with a few shots in-studio then headed out to a nearby dam for a long walk in the perfect weather.

It was wonderful getting to know this couple and their two handsome little men, Lachlan and Lennox. 2.5 year old Lachie was full of beans and so very excited by everything going on around him, making me work hard for every shot! 3 month old Lennie was very relaxed and just happy to be taken along for the ride. It was a great afternoon and well worth the trek!

It looks like spring has arrived in Perth, finally! I took this family out a few evenings back to my favourite shooting ground where little man Kaleb and his younger sister Kyla spent their time throwing rocks off a bridge into the water and running through a field of flowers. An absolutely gorgeous evening, with an absoultely gorgeous family to match!

Today I had the pleasure of photographing an absolutely wonderful family… 5 year old Elijah, 3 year old Ezekial, their mum Tyra, and grandmother Terri. I am at a loss of what to say about this family, except that their love as a unit seemed to just radiate. There’s just something special about them.

It was a really fun shoot, feeding the ducks and chasing bees in a field of flowers. I have so many shots from this session that I love so this is going to be a BIG preview! And look at the amazing eyes on these boys!!
