Sweethearts | Perth Portrait Photographer

At the beginning of the year I held a competition to celebrate the year gone by with my Face of 2009 competition. As well as awarding a prize to the winning face who had the most votes, I also randomly drew a name from all of the voters who had participated by leaving a comment on this blog.

The winner of this prize was to receive a full portrait session with me, as well as a complete package of prints. The lucky winner was Sionnan Gibbons, who chose to have a Sweetheart Session with her fiance Ben.

We held the session yesterday morning in a beautiful park nearby their home. We spent the morning walking the grounds with their pup Rossy who also joined them in a few shots. Rossy was an absolute riot, almost bursting at the seams with excitement at the other dogs there. We ended up calling it a day when Rossy’s excitement got the better of him as he chased some ducks and followed them straight into the pond! Wet and shivering, we ended the session so Sionnan and Ben could get him home.

Sionnan and ben, thanks so much for meeting with me today! It was a gorgeous morning and we got so many beautiful images. I’m looking forward to showing them to you soon!

I’m been missing in action lately with a bit of a drop in the amount of blogging I’ve been doing, due to some new and exciting changes that are just around the corner. Much of my days (and nights) over the last few weeks have been spent working away at a new development that will see huge changes ahead for me and my photography. But, more on that later! All will be revealed on July 1, so make sure you check back soon!!

Just under 12 months ago I had the honour of photographing two much anticipated, much loved, newborn babies. Today these two babies came back to me to celebrate their first birthday with a cake smash session, and it was a hoot! Lachie and Millie had us in fits of laughter as we watch them tuck into their cakes, first with apprehension, then with squeals of delight.

I was in absolute awe of these little ones today, seeing them as they’ve grown from those tiny little helpless bundles a year ago, into two amazing, strong-willed little people…

Kell and Ross, thank you again for allowing me to share in this amazing time for you and your gorgeous family. I truly feel privileged to be able to capture this special day for you. I hope you love your peek! Happy First Birthday Lachie and Millie!

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing adorable 9 month old baby Charlotte and her parents Jill and Stuart. Charlotte was a tough little nut to crack but once her clothes came off she was full of squeals and laughter. If we had known that all it would take to get some smiles was to do that, we would’ve bared her cutey patootey a lot earlier in the session!

Jill and Stuart, thanks for having me capture your little girls precious personality for you. She’s such a beautiful, joyous little soul that I’m really happy to have met.

A Tiny Miracle | Perth Newborn Photographer

When Jessie-Lee and Kenny brought their new baby girl into my home today for her newborn session I was gob-smacked! I was truly stunned and in awe of the tiny, precious little bundle that lay before me. A tiny miracle was laying right before me. So small and so perfect.

Jessie-Lee and Kenny came to me for their pregnancy session a few months back (see their maternity session here) and the love and joy between these two that I saw back then was now ten fold for this little girl. Baby Shakira is so very blessed to have been born to such amazing, loving parents. Just thinking about this gorgeous family makes my heart sing!

Jessie-Lee and Kenny, it was SO good to finally meet your princess, and it was lovely to see you again! I hope you enjoy this little peek at some of the images from your session today. I’ll be in touch soon!

Joyous | Perth Baby Photographer

Today I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing 6 month old Jasmine, and oh my gosh can this little one light up a room! I’ve never met such a happy, joyous 6 month old! Even with only 30 minutes of her usual 2 hour sleep under her belt she still gave us the most beautiful big bright smiles. She was just the picture of contentment!

Jenny and John, thank you so much for making such a big effort to come out for your session today. I know it will be a little while before you get back to Perth and see this, but I just couldn’t wait to share some pics of your gorgeous little girl.

Abby and Sage | Perth Baby Photographer

This weekend’s beautiful faces came in twos… first two handsome little men on Saturday, then two beautiful little girls on Sunday! I first met with 5 week old Abby and her sister 3 year old Sage a couple of weeks ago for their session with me but on that day Abby didn’t want to miss out on the action so refused to sleep for us. So yesterday we re-shot the session with some success! We still weren’t able to get Abby to sleep until the very end when she was back into her clothes. There’s just no telling a newborn what to do, lol! Sage, on the other hand, was her happy, bright little self, always willing to share a smile! Such a wonderful family.

Harper and Chase | Perth Baby Photographer

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing two handsome little men… 2 month old Harper and his older brother 2 year old Chase. Harper is one of the most alert little bubs of his age that I have met to date, and sleep definitely wasn’t on his agenda during our session! He has the most amazing blue eyes though so I was more than happy to be capturing those on my camera. And big brother Chase was just adorable. Such a happy spirited little fellow who was happy to give me all the smiles I could ask for. Such a dream to photograph!

Two Beautiful Blessings | Perth Newborn Photographer

Today I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a very long-awaited and much anticipated 3 week old baby, Abigail, and her cheeky monkey big sister, 3 year old Sage. I’ve know their Mumma, Amanda, for a few years now and was thrilled when she asked me to do a shoot with her gorgeous girls! Unfortunately for us, today was the day that Abby decided she wanted to stay awake to see all the action, despite waiting 4 hours for this little one to relax and fall asleep! We did manage to get a few gorgeous pics of this little one before we had to call it a day (and stacks of pics of Sage who just LOVED my camera!), but we’ll re-shoot in a couple of weeks to see if we can get some more. So watch this space for another peek at these two in a few weeks!

You may remember a maternity session I did a few weeks ago with the stunning Jessie-Lee and her partner Kenny. I’ve been dying to share some more images from their session but I wanted to keep as many as I could tucked away for their Viewing Appointment so I could surprise them then with their gorgeous images. Now that they’ve just met with me to see their gallery I can show you some more!

I love these guys. So down to earth, so warm, and soooo lovely! They will make brilliant parents when their little girl arrives in only 2 weeks time!! I can’t wait to meet with them again for our newborn session.
